A Research-Based Didactic Model for Education to Promote
From a personal point of view, I strongly believe that the Transcultural Theory of Madeleine Leininger can support my nursing practice. Professor Jenko Madeleine Leininger's Culture Care Theory is an established nursing theory that emphasizes culture and care as essential concepts in nursing. Theoretical frameworks abound in nursing, and Culture Care Theory may be underutilized and misunderstood within nursing education. These values are unique to each culture and have different ways of coping with healthcare issues. For the above reasons, I chose to research the Transcultural Nursing Theory of Dr.Madeleine Leininger. From the four articles I reviewed, the main theme was the application of culturally congruent care in various different ethnic groups.
